Course Description 


This 30-hour OSHA Outreach Program course is comprehensive training designed for individuals involved in the construction industry, including workers, supervisors, and safety personnel.

The training provides a comprehensive understanding of the occupational safety and health standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), with a focus on workplace hazard prevention.

 

Course Content

The course covers the main topics required by OSHA for the construction industry, including:

  • Introduction to OSHA and its regulations

  • General Safety and Health Provisions

  • Hazard Communication

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Electrical Safety

  • Hand and Power Tools

  • Ladders and Scaffolds

  • Excavations

  • Cranes and Rigging Operations

  • Material Handling and Storage

  • Motor Vehicles on Construction Sites

  • Fall Protection

  • Fire Prevention and Protection

  • Health Hazards and Hazardous Materials

  • Welding and Cutting

  • Concrete and Masonry Construction

  • Lead Safety in the Workplace

  • Struck-By and Caught-In/Between Hazards

  • Process Safety Management (PSM)

  • Explosives in the Workplace

Target Audience​

This course is designed for workers, supervisors, and personnel involved in construction operations or activities related to job site safety, including:

• Construction Workers
• Foremen
• Construction Supervisors
• Safety Personnel and Project Management Staff

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize, eliminate, and prevent workplace safety and health hazards.

• Understand workers’ rights under OSHA.

• Understand employer responsibilities.

• Understand the process for reporting unsafe conditions and filing complaints.

CEUs Requirements

  1. 100% attendance for the 30-hour course.

  2. Complete the Training and Continuing Education Registration Form.

  3. Actively participate in all course activities.

  4. Complete the pre-training and post-training assessments.

  5. When applicable, achieve the minimum passing score on the final course examination.

  6. Complete and submit the course evaluation form at the end of the training. (Your name must be included on the form to receive credit.)

Prerequisites

No prerequisites are required to attend this 30-hour training course.

• Participants must be able to communicate verbally with the instructor in the primary language of instruction.

 

Attendance and Participation

• Participants are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities.

 

• In accordance with the requirements of the OSHA Outreach Training Program, a participant is eligible for make-up training only if they have completed at least 50% of the contact hours before their absence.

• It is the participant’s responsibility to contact the Instructor to schedule a make-up session within six (6) months of the original class date.

Certification

• Upon successful completion of the training course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

• The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety & Health card is issued through the OSHA Outreach Training Program upon processing the completed course. The card will be provided to the participant according to the procedures established by the program.

🔺 Important Information for Course Reservations (Private Courses)

Minimum Group Commitment

When booking a private course, the client agrees to the total fee based on the minimum number of participants agreed upon. Reserved dates are exclusive and require advance preparation of training materials and logistics.

Attendance on the Training Date

If fewer participants attend the training than the number confirmed at the time of booking, no partial refunds or adjustments to the total course fee will be provided.

Participant Substitutions

Participants who are unable to attend may be replaced by other members of the company prior to the start of the course at no additional cost.

OSHA Outreach Class Scheduling Information

OSHA Outreach Training classes are scheduled for a minimum group of five (5) participants. Please schedule your class at least 72 hours in advance and contact us by email to arrange your training session.
